Itinerary

Day 1 – Adelaide to the Outback

Meet your fellow travellers and hit the road as we leave Adelaide behind and head north into the heart of the Flinders Ranges. Today is a travel day (approx. 6 hours), but the journey is all part of the experience.

We’ll stop to explore the historic town of Quorn and grab a drink at the iconic Prairie Hotel in Parachilna. Arrive at camp, enjoy a cook-up around the fire, and settle in for a night sleeping in swags under a sky full of stars.

Day 2 – Aroona Dam & Arkaroola

Rise early for sunrise yoga at Aroona Dam, where the stillness of the morning is matched only by the beauty of the sun rising over rugged peaks.

After breakfast, we continue to the remote wilderness sanctuary of Arkaroola. This afternoon is yours to relax, take a dip, or join a guided walk exploring this ancient landscape. After dinner at the local pub, we’ll enjoy world-class stargazing at Arkaroola’s observatory.

Day 3 – Arkaroola Ridgetop Adventure

This morning we join the famous Ridgetop Tour, a 4WD experience through dramatic ridgelines, ancient granite outcrops, and incredible lookout points. The afternoon is flexible - join another guided walk, relax at camp, or take some time to journal or soak up the solitude.

Day 4 – Arkaroola to Blinman

After breakfast, we begin our journey south with plenty of scenic photo stops along the way. The shifting colours and landscapes of the northern Flinders are some of the most spectacular in the region.

We’ll arrive in Blinman, the highest town in South Australia, for a historic mine tour that dives into the copper-mining past of this outback settlement.

Day 5 – Into Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park

Today we enter the heart of Ikara–Flinders Ranges National Park. We’ll take in spectacular views on a scenic drive, go rock wallaby spotting, and enjoy some short walks through the gorges and valleys of this ancient land.

Day 6 – Razorback Lookout & Wilpena Pound

Another early start for a sunrise mission to Razorback Lookout—one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the region. We'll continue along Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorge roads, stopping at other lookouts and short walking trails along the way.

In the afternoon, we arrive at Wilpena Pound, where you can relax, enjoy free time, or join a guided walk into the Pound.

Day 7 – Return to Adelaide

It’s time to pack up and say goodbye to the Flinders. We’ll make our way back to Adelaide with plenty of stops to stretch our legs, take in the last glimpses of the outback, and reflect on an unforgettable week of adventure, connection, and natural beauty.
